Independent Living Skills Project at the YC Hertfordshire Cheshunt Access Point

The YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills programme is for young people in care or care leavers aged 13-21. Come to the YC Hertfordshire Cheshunt Access Point on Mondays from 4.30 to 6.30pm and learn some important skills that will help you to live more independently and build your confidence.
The YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills programme is primarily for young people in care or care leavers aged 13 to 21, but any other young people aged 13-17 (up to 24 for those with additional needs) who would benefit from learning these skills are welcome to come along.
Qualified and experienced YC Hertfordshire youth workers will teach you these valuable life-skills through fun, interactive and engaging activities.
- Cooking- Jamie Oliver's Home Cooking Skills
- DIY- using materials and equipment for practical projects
- Budgeting- managing personal finances
- Healthy living - keeping well emotionally and physically
- Keeping safe
When you've completed a subject area you will receive City & Guilds and BTEC qualifications, which will enhance your CV.
The YC Hertfordshire Cheshunt Access Point at Cheshunt Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
