National Citizen Service with YC Hertfordshire is a really exciting opportunity for 16 and 17 year-olds in School Year 12 during the autumn 2017 half term holidays. It's a fantastic once-in-a-lifetime experience that will be one of the most exhilarating and rewarding times of your life. You'll take on new challenges, gain new skills and work as a team to help people in your local area. It all starts with yes! Sign up now!
National Citizen Service (NCS) is a government-backed programme that helps young people build skills for work, life and their transition into adulthood.
What’s in it for you?

Each place is worth hundreds of pounds, but you pay just £50 for the autumn half term programme. Bursary payments of £20 are available.
Anyone and everyone in School Year 12 is welcome.
The Dacorum NCS programme
Autumn 2017 schedule for the Dacorum district (Hemel Hempstead, Tring, Berkhamsted, Kings Langley and surrounding areas):
Part 1 – Embark on an adventure
You’ll spend three nights away from home at Kingswood Outdoor Centre in Kent (TN24 9JZ) from 21st to 24th October 2017. There you’ll experience the freedom of living away from home in an outdoor environment. You’ll take part in a adrenaline-fuelled activities, such as archery, rock climbing, hiking, zipwires and high and low ropes. You’ll get to know your team mates, build confidence and leadership skills and achieve things you never thought possible.
Part 2 – Build skills for life
Part 2 is three days (non-residential) at the XC Centre in Hemel Hempstead from 25th to 27th October 2017. Here you will learn about your local community, develop skills for life and meet with inspirational people and organisations.
Part 3 – Make your mark on your local community
During Part 3 you’ll spend a further 30 hours during weekends and evenings over the following 28 days at the XC Centre, designing and carrying out your own social action project using the skills you’ve learnt the and working with your team to make a lasting difference in your local area.
