The St Albans NCS programme

Autumn 2018 schedule for the St Albans district (St Albans, Harpenden and surrounding areas):

Part 1 – Embark on an adventure
You’ll spend three nights away from home at Grosvenor Hall, a Kingswood Outdoor Centre in Kent (TN24 9JZ), from 27th to 30th October 2018. There you’ll experience the freedom of living away from home in an outdoor environment. You’ll take part in adrenaline-fuelled activities, such as archery, hiking, zip wires and high and low ropes. You’ll get to know your team mates, build confidence and leadership skills and achieve things you never thought possible.

Part 2 – Build skills for life
Part 2 is three days (non-residential) above the Harpenden Young People's Centre from 31st October to 2nd November 2018. Here you will learn about your local community, develop skills for life and meet with inspirational people and organisations.

Part 3 – Make your mark on your local community
During Part 3 you’ll spend a further 30 hours during weekends and evenings over the following 28 days above the Harpenden Young People's Centre designing and carrying out your own social action project using the skills you’ve learnt the and working with your team to make a lasting difference in your local area.
