Sexual health and contraception
We also offer information on sexual health and relationships and access to free condoms via the C-Card scheme.

What is the c-card Hertfordshire scheme?

C-card Hertfordshire is a sexual health scheme for young people. Whether you're a young man or a young woman, straight, gay or questioning, this scheme aims to help you:

  • Make the right CHOICES regarding relationships
  • Get free CONDOMS to prevent unplanned pregnancies and reduce sexually transmitted infections (STIs)
  • Get tested for CHLAMYDIA and other STIs
  • Understand the types of CONTRACEPTION available

YC Hertfordshire enables young people aged 13-19, up to 24 for those with learning difficulties and up to 21 for those leaving care, to access this scheme.

When you register you will be issued with a card which contains a unique ID number. You will then be able to use this to pick up free condoms from any registration or easy access point in Hertfordshire where you see the c-card logo.

The YC Hertfordshire St Albans Centre is a c-card registration and easy access (distribution) point during opening times.

Visit the c-card Hertfordshire website for more detailed information.
