This YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills Project is for young people in care or care leavers in the Hertsmere district aged 13-17.

At the YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills Project friendly and supportive YC Hertfordshire youth workers will help you gain valuable life-skills through fun, interactive and engaging activities.

Subjects you'll learn more about include:

  • Cooking - Pearson’s Home Cooking Skills
  • DIY - using materials and equipment for practical projects
  • Budgeting - managing personal finances
  • Healthy living - keeping well emotionally and physically
  • Keeping safe

All the skills you'll learn will give you the confidence to live more independently and become more resilient.

The project is for young people in care and care leavers who live in the Hertsmere District of Hertfordshire.

96 Shenley Road is fully wheelchair accessible.
