If you are aged 13-17, there's something here for you! YC Hertfordshire offers a really varied programme of activities reflecting the issues and interests of our members - and it's all FREE! All sessions offer computer access, art & craft activities, pool, snooker, table tennis and the use of our all-weather Astroturf pitch. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.

YC Hertfordshire runs four weekly youth projects at the West Hyde Young People’s Centre:

  • Mondays: 6-8pm for those in School Years 8 and 9
  • Tuesdays: 4.30-6.30pm - 'Supporting You' emotional wellbeing project for 13-17s
  • Wednesdays: 6-8pm - for those in school Years 10 and 11
  • Fridays: 6-8pm - for all 13-17s

They are open to all 13-17 year olds in the West Hyde, Maple Cross and Mill End areas and are all completely free. No need to book - just turn up!

The venue is well-suited to the varied activities on offer. The outside area is fenced and can be used for football, team games and environmental studies.

There is a very positive volunteering ethos at the project, where the older young people are able to plan and deliver the programme of activities.

The West Hyde Young People's Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
