Youth councils are groups of young people aged 11–17, who come together to represent young people in their local area. Nobody knows about the issues affecting young people better than young people themselves, so come along and have your say. The North Herts Youth Council is supported by YC Hertfordshire and will enable you to have your say about issues or things affecting you, either on a small scale in your area or at a national level. WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW MEMBERS NOW. This is your chance to get involved!

The Ware DofE sessions are for young people in the East Herts area and are held once every three weeks on Fridays at the Ware Young People’s Centre (see below for dates).

If you’re aged between 10 and 17 years old, you can join a St John Ambulance cadet unit. At cadets it's all about fun, adventure and community. As a cadet you will learn first aid and how to save a life. Once qualified, cadets can put their first aid and communication skills into practice by providing first aid to the public at events and teaching first aid to other young people and adults. If you become a St John's Ambulance Cadet you will learn vital skills to be the difference between life and death in an emergency.
