If you are aged 13-17 come and get involved in this project at the Zoo Cafe on Ware Road in Hertford every Friday evening. It is a safe space where you can meet new people, develop positive relationships and try out new activities. You can also participate in workshops which develop your skills, knowledge and confidence, and find out about opportunities for your future.
Youth councils are groups of young people aged 11–17, who come together to represent young people in their local area. Nobody knows about the issues affecting young people better than young people themselves, so come along and have your say! The Broxbourne Youth Council, supported by YC Hertfordshire and Broxbourne Borough Council, will enable you to present your views to those who make decisions so that they can work to improve things in the local community. To express an interest or for more information about the Broxbourne Youth Council, please contact YC Hertfordshire on 01992 588220, or just come along!
Do you have questions about sexual health and relationships? Want to know how you can keep yourself safe from STIs? Come to YC Hertfordshire’s sexual health outreach clinic at West Herts College in Watford. We also offer free condoms and free chlamydia screening.
This YC Hertfordshire Independent Living Skills Programme is for young people aged 16-21 who have left home and are homeless. Come to Rose Court Hostel in Hertford to learn valuable skills that will help you to build your confidence and live more independently.
