The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award (DofE) is a real adventure from beginning to end. It doesn’t matter who you are or where you are from, you just need to be aged between 13 and 24 and ready to jump into the best time of your life! Come along to the Broxbourne DofE sessions which are held every three weeks on Fridays at Cheshunt Young People's Centre.

For young parents and parents-to-be in the Cheshunt and Broxbourne area, this programme is completely free, will help you manage the challenges of being a parent, support you with developing valuable skills and qualities for planning your future, and also being the best possible parent you can be.

YC Hertfordshire Be Yourself Be Proud LGBTQ Project, Cheshunt

The 'Be Yourself Be Proud' LGBTQ Project is YC Hertfordshire's project in Cheshunt for young people aged 13-17 who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender or questioning their sexuality or gender (LGBTQ+). Joining the group will allow you to meet other LGBTQ young people in a safe space. You'll find the meetings informative and fun and the staff supportive to all who attend. We aim to provide a support network and opportunities for young LGBTQ people to socialise and learn new skills. The group meets every Tuesday, 7-9pm, in Cheshunt. YC Hertfordshire is the new name for Youth Connexions.

Nobody knows about the issues affecting young people better than young people themselves, so come along and have your say! The Broxbourne Youth Council, supported by YC Hertfordshire and Broxbourne Borough Council, will enable you to present your views to those who make decisions so that they can work to improve things in the local community. Swimming, badminton, squash and football are some of the many activities at the Grundy Park Leisure Centre in Cheshunt. The SHOKK gym is purpose built for 8-15 year olds and 14 & 15 year olds can use the adult Fit&Well gym at certain times.There are also exercise classes, homeopathy and osteopathy clinics, a beauty and holistic therapy facility and much more.
